Stars of the Lid Forever! Check out a new, very nicely curated site devoted to the band's live recordings, spanning 1997-2016.
Doom & Gloom From The Tomb
Stars of the Lid Forever The brilliant Stars of the Lid came to an end a few years back with the sad passing of co-founder Brian McBride. But Stars of the Lid is forever — as a new fan-driven website....

There’s an amazing looking 3xLP of Congolese band Docteur Nico & African Fiesta Sukisa out today with material dating back to mid 60s through early 70s. This is a glimpse of the kind of goodness you can expect … if that’s your kind of thing youtu.be/PFf6prhR8Gc?...

i completely get this logic. original format? + cost + how i will listen (at home? in car?) + availability + how i heard originally + genre limits (for example i don't buy certain things on certain formats to keep collection under control). the "head calculations"

I don’t mention this in the new INVENTORY but the Clientele’s version of an obscure Shack/Mick Head song called Closer is one of their most sublime, mysterious and magical recordings. You’re welcome. @backlisted.bsky.social theclientele.bandcamp.com/album/closer

Beautiful unhurried proggy pastoral folk from Melbourne artist Francis Plagne.

File next to Jim O’Rourke, Anthony Moore, Duncan Browne, Gorkys, Nagisa Ni Te, Chris Cohen & late era Pastels.

One of my fave records of last few years

Dunno if I just wasn’t in the mood for it when it came out but repeat plays a few months down the line have elevated this from *good comeback to *best thing they’ve done since Cobra & Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night. So only right really that i bought myself a copy the CD.

Deeply moving/human experimental music / noise / field recordings from Beirut artist Yara Asmar. Listened to this obsessively since first hearing a few weeks ago.

My album of the year I think.
