5000 euros , 3 ratings with 66.6% positive feedback and last record they sent ‘appeared to be lost’.

Seems like a safe bet etc

2008 Lion press. Black vinyl, tip-on jacket, beautiful original replica labels, I think a worthwhile trade off for a couple of sharp S’s. As close to an original as I could afford for now anyway

Reasons I keep looking/listening exhibit #5287

Beautiful timeless Breton folk that also manages to include a track that sounds like proto ‘This Heat’. For fans of the recent-ish Kristen Noguès & Dorothy Carter reissues. One of my fave discoveries of the year

Emmanuelle Parrenin- Maison Rose (1977)

More formative music from 1993 that somehow physical copies of have managed to elude me all these years, though this material feels so familiar i’m not convinced. 2 disc set that compiles all the Too Pure singles/EPs including one of the all time great AFX remixes

Seefeel - Pure, Impure (1993/2025)

Made no secret of my love of early Verve over the years so was delighted after YouTubing it for the millionth time other night & long after giving up on ever owning a copy (an OG sold for £840 recently) to see this had slipped under radar & given an official release this yr

Verve - Voyager 1 (1993)

haha Jen! You know you’ve got it bad when you’re buying records you already have. Is it this version ? I don’t remember the obi but mine came with all these extras. Sorta the standard when certain records try to tell/sell me a ‘deluxe’ reissue.

pushing the definition of “shoddy” to its limits but still

Reminded of this today and salvaged from the deepest darkest recesses of adidas shoe boxes under the stairs.. Still sounds like one of the best underground hip hop releases of that unbelievably fertile era. Bought Spring 2002 Amoeba Records San Francisco.

surely a better headline line would’ve been Messi Van De Ven no?

Attempted this a couple of weeks ago but instantly remembered a couple more

Show me some albums that you’re convinced nobody loves more than you.

maybe skip the Sgt Peppers/ Pet Sounds/ OK Computer etc for sake of this. The more low key weird stuff people might not be switched on to the better
