It's the cowardice that did it for me too. I voted Labour 18 months ago hoping to end the performative cruelty and now I'm living in a far right hellscape of grotty flags on every lamppost and the BBC on the brink of collapse. The lack of leadership is utterly unforgivable.

Do you hear that….yes that’s thousands more running to the Greens and/or ripping up their Labour membership.

Now do you hear the silence…that’s no Reform voters going the other way.

Incomprehensible, reprehensible and political cowardice.
Shabana Mahmood on the BBC this morning talking about desperate people fleeing war and persecution as being given a "golden ticket" and "handouts" and saying she's got a "moral mission" to take them away from them

Shabana Mahmood and the Politics of Extortion
Labour's strategy of telling its supporters to back Reform-style policies, or get a Reform Government, is the politics of the protection racket and it is not going to work

I have now gone from the Labour Party. I have always hated the expression, but I am really 'politically homeless.
The Greens are an amalgam of Middle class nimbies and Corbynistas
The Lib Dems may have forgotten 2010-15, but I haven't.

Perhaps political parties are not the answer, and never were?

I know it doesn't really matter to anybody except me, but I need to leave the Labour Party if the immigration rules are changed as is predicted.
I am an active member, and cannot campaign on these illiberal policies.
Also, they concede the argument to the racists and bigots.

I honestly hope this is the last ever Budget. Going forward just announce changes as and when needed like everything else. We don’t need it all saved up. The world has changed. The media has become feral. No one can be trusted.

I don't need a poppy, Flag or 'royal' for me to respect those that gave everything in past wars.
We are the only European country that obsessively looks back to past wars and we were not occupied.
Can we please look to the future a bit more.

For as many years as anyone been counting two or more inmates been mistakenly released from British prisons most weeks. Record does not make it acceptable. System needs to be fixed. It does leave me asking why BBC now gripped by end-of-civilisation hysteria heard on Radio 4 Today programme.

This investigation from the @sheffieldtribune.bsky.social is absolutely staggering. It is very common in Sheffield (I live in this bit) to have a leasehold, often with hundreds of years left on and pennies in ground rent. This is extortion pure and simple. www.sheffieldtribune.co.uk/a-london-law...
A London lawyer bought hundreds of Sheffield freeholds. Then the ‘very aggressive’ letters arrived
Exclusive: The Tribune can reveal that Andrew Milne has threatened leaseholders with high court action. It ‘broke my heart’ one woman says

Surely the way to deal with people like Matt Goodwin is to declare them not British. And when they say that actually they were born here just tell them that sorry it takes more than a piece of paper.

Today in London riotous history, 1795: king George III attacked by angry crowds.
As related in our previous post, the reforming London Corresponding Society (LCS) held a rally in Copenhagen Fields, Islington, on October 26, 1795, called to protest against the widespread hunger …

This is my feeling too.
I'll never be able to vote for a party that doesn't want the UK in NATO and I'm not alone. By a long way.

The Greens have work to do.

I love what I'm hearing but this is a non negotiable for me and millions like me.

If you are happy with these British citizens displaying their flag ( its not the wrong way round- hold on there, keyboard pedants-its meant to be viewed from outside) then I agree with you.
If you like flags normally but can't be doing with this, then you a bigot or racist.
