It's worth noting that I'm a middle-aged guy with a day job that I love--this isn't an attempt to change careers. And I don't have space or soundproofing in my apartment, but it's not that expensive to get a couple hours at a practice space. 2/

I'm serious enough about this--I haven't had a ton of luck on Craigslist and Bandmix thinks I'm willing to travel further than I am.
