It also requires you to either have a really bad memory, or to simply ignore that all of these same studies, arguments, etc were made about the gay community in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Hell, 280k for a year would renovate the house fully and then I'd be at a loss on what to spend it on. Probably get a new car, no payments, for the second year. Then quietly fund all my friends after that.

I do, and I don't live in a major city. You've got some wildly high expectations if you think 200k is an average need for a family.

We've made it on 40k before though. T'wasn't a bit fun. 0/10, do not recommend.

Yeah, that's an utterly unrealistic number unless you have a really nice apartment in a very major city.

I don't make nearly that much and I have a 4BR 2BA home with a detached studio apartment out back. I support a family of 4.

We haven't gotten to the 1959 era of Federalizing the guard cause they were called up by the Governor to guard against literal school children ... attending school.

Not at the Orangeburg Massacre or Kent State yet... It's bad, but we've definitely seen worse since the Civil War.

You find out real fast when you read the Old Testament that most "sins" were just crimes of some sort. The rabbis were the attorneys and judges of the day for their group. You paid a fine for your "sins" via burnt offerings and monetary fines to the temple.

Same thing today. You have paternity tests now, but it boils down to Daddy's dream of passing down the legacy (inheritance) to their kids.

The primary thing with old testament sexuality was inheritance law. Everything was passed down from father to first born son. Daddy would be pissed if the first born didn't like women, but still had a claim. Poof. Sin.

Adultery was a big issue, cause if the first born... wasn't yours...

People just need to have the blank slate conversation. What does trust look like? Where are the borders drawn? How is security managed?
