I went to Disney two days ago, and went to see Battle Royale on the big screen yesterday. Sitting outside the neighborhood lake. Beautiful day!

There was another poster artist who died last week. I don’t remember his name off the top of my head, but he did a lot of work in the ‘70s.

As recently as last week, I was writing about the brilliance and impact of the art of Drew Struzan. Today, we learn he's passed. I'm gutted.

His artistic genius and inspirational images will truly be appreciated forever. May we continue to treasure his work & the man who made it. Thank you, Drew.

ah RIP Drew Struzan, the greatest movie poster illustrator ever, who created one of the greatest posters in a single day with no reference material from the film.

Just learned that Drew Struzan, arguably the GOAT of movie poster artists, has passed away. He created so many legendary posters, but my favorite will always be the one he did for the 20th Anniversary of BLADE RUNNER.

What do you even say about a giant like Drew Struzan except study him. Go make some marks, some actual marks, with pencils and paints and an airbrush if you’ve got one hanging around. Everything you could ever need to learn about this craft is in his work.
