Everyone be quiet! My show is on!
It's a little-known cat that cats read through their stomachs
Dept Q was one of my favorite shows of the year
Thank you! It's so great to learn from the experts
That is a very handsome kitty
Sent mine in yesterday!
Sorry, "her" picture taken (brown breast stripe indicates female).
Covid wastewater numbers going exactly the opposite direction in California, thankfully. If you're insured (big, ugly US "if"), booster is free and readily available.
So many supplements contain lead, especially ayuravedic-related ones. People are so ignorant. Just don't take supplements unless recommended by a doctor ffs.
Belted Kingfisher didn't want his picture taken but that worked out for me, since I got this great diving shot. Las Gallinas, San Rafael #California #Birds #Birding 🪶
A female (you can tell because of the brown stripe) Belted Kingfisher in a deep downward dive from his phone line above. Steel gray and white bird with a brown strip across the breast. Stripy tail feathers spread out.
Fantastic! Do you create that bright white by reserving the white of the paper, or do alcohol markers (which I've never used) allow layering of white on top?

What ho, Wednesday! Today is P.G. Wodehouse's birthday, born on 15th October 1881. Get yourself a cake, raise a martini, pull the autobiography off the bookshelf and have yourself a blast. #wodehouse #martini
My niece & her husband took a trip to Japan and sent us photos every day, including one of Jizo statues in the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto. Today I made them a Welcome Home card based on one of their photos and I'm pleased with how it came out #Gouache #Watercolor #ArtYear.
A painting of a pair of small stone statues, a young woman or girl on the left, a young man or boy on the right. The girl statue is holding a bouquet of flowers. The boy statue has his hands in a prayer position. They are seated on the ground, with bamboo stalks in the background.
Per the Google "Jizo (地蔵/womb of the earth), as they are called, are made in the image of Jizo Bosatsu, guardian deity of children and travellers. They're also known as the ‘earth bearer’, so jizo statues are made out of stone, which is said to have a spiritual power for protection and longevity that predates Buddhist beliefs."
Thank you! I was very surprised and pleased how dynamic this turned out.
Nothing like random camel content on Bluesky
I would find this to be a very difficult situation; I also had a child on the spectrum for whom each friendship was like a delicate pearl to be cherished, but I am also a hardcore introvert with intense boundary issues.
An admin once accidentally DoorDashed me a Taco Bell order for both 12:00 a.m. AND 12:00 pm and my teenage son (who was up at midnight when the first, accidental, order arrived) felt like he'd won the lottery.
Never heard of this show, but that theme song is truly stirring, and all that horse content would have made my daughter's heart sing!
I love that - it's so beautifully lit. I took a drawing class and we had to draw this one at the SF Asian Art museum. It was really hard to find the patience for all that detail!
