To meet the precedent set in the 2011 election and then for Westminster to deny a Scottish referendum would lead to a constitutional crisis. If Westminster ever allows a referendum on Independence it will almost certainly be rigged for a pro Union vote to win.

That is why BBC Scotland are trying to say there are legal blockers to a second Independence referendum. That is totally untrue. MSM will parrot this but we must all shout this down. Pretendy legal trip wires are the last resort of a crumbling UK.

That could be quite damaging to the Labour Party and the UK government in general. To deny democracy in a democracy is not a good look internationally. No excuse of the tail end of a pandemic. Going on 12 years since the last one. The SNP leader from that time has passed away.

SNP Independence strategy is to copy the 2011 result. This is a big ask. More likely would be a pro Indy majority of MSPs. Either way, the Labour gov would refuse a referendum. That leaves the SNP to point out that Labour are worse than the Tories and are democracy deniers.

These arrests are going to be a PR disaster for the legislators, crown office, courts, police.
There is a distinct possibility that jurors will ignore any direction from the judge and pass a not guilty verdict.
This maybe is what the establishment want to justify holding trials without a jury

ITV News said Scotland has mitigated the 2 child cap on benefits with good outcomes. What they didn't mention is the Scottish Child Payment.They are bigging up the 2 child cap removal as a huge policy if Labour can do it. But the poor will still get poorer in E&W

If this is normalised then Scotland will become the dumping ground for all nuclear waste. The situation at Sellafield, where tonnes of nuclear waste are held underwater, is a scandal in itself. Scotland must resist this.
