Very excited for Adolis García to be a Philly.

I just can't get behind celebrating anything about a team named after a police division.

Adolis García, welcome to Philadelphia!

💔... so young. So much life to live. All the lives he might have saved. All the lives he could have touched, changed.

His family's unimaginable sorrow must become ours... we've seen exponential loss from guns, from the campus to the beach, among the poor and the privileged.

This must end. NOW.
Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov, a freshman at Brown, had a condition as a child that required brain surgery. The experience created an unshakable ambition to become a brain surgeon, his sister said.

He died after being shot on campus on Saturday.

There are so many terrible things happening but I just said something really ridiculous in a meeting.

Thankful to have something to ruminate on that doesn't involve current events.

I am so sorry for everyone who knew and loved Allie.

It's just so gut wrenching
The person who was killed last night crossing Beacon Ave on a bike by a hit-and-run driver was named Allie. They were described as a "hard-core cyclist."

The vigil/protest is expected to take over Beacon and Stevens until midnight, if SPD lets that happen.

I have come up with extremely convulated proof that Clase did not throw the playoffs for gamblers. It's really way too complicated to get into here, but the proof is rock solid. He did not gamble on the GD playoffs. He would never.

Please respect my privacy at this time.

Due to a malapropism tendency and a deep interest in pastries it's impossible for me to not say baklava when I mean balaclava.

This is why I can never discuss balaclavas in person!

A very nice couple offered me a ride as I was leaving the Drug Mart parking lot. I politely declined as I was so enthusiastic to get a walk in!

My oh my did I regret that. There is a bracing wind coming out of the north 🥶

A country that actually did something

"According to the Australian Institute of Criminology, 31 homicides by firearm were recorded in Australia from 2023–24, the most recent figures."

Going to let it warm up a bit and then take a long walk.

We don't have to live like this

We could change

Good for Jorge!
The Mets just panicked and overpaid Jorge Polanco $40M for 2 years to replace Pete at first. They lost Edwin Díaz over $3 million. Polanco is a nice player but this is embarrassing.

Lola bit a trainer who was trying to get her weight. I was going to make a joke about that but zoos just depress me.

Poor Lola. Leave her alone!

The biking conditions look close to ideal today and yet I took the bus.

It's fine. It's FINE. I will not beat myself up about this.

A school district in Alabama is having issues with drivers passing stopped school buses. They sent out a reminder to drivers re the correct procedure for a stopped bus.

Call this what it is, psychopath behavior. Nobody needs reminders to not use the berm to pass a bus.

I'm so sick of this BS.

Residents are claiming cyclists are cursing up a storm and flipping everybody the bird on the new bike lane.

I don't know what is going on in Denver, but those cyclists sound pretty cool imo.
