I’d also love to take the plunge and try to do commission work full time but that involves a level of financial security and time I can only dream of . it’s not like I can pick up a ton of work now when I get 3hrs in the evening between getting home/going to bed on a weekday

Like a lot of ‘oh I’m just not doing good enough for myself’ like I wouldn’t be rich but … no I should be able to afford a 1bedroom apartment which is all I need anyways

Recently having to remind myself amongst higher rent prices/ cost of living in general that I get paid 3x minimum wage in an office job and if it weren’t for the economy being the way it is I’d probably be living okay by myself
