Inspired by the quoted post, I listened to the entirety of Skinny Puppy’s Too Dark Park for the first time in years (decades?). Still amazing from start to finish. That album does a certain thing and it does it absurdly well. TFWO is still my favorite track on it.
proposed: "Too Dark Park" starts out very aggro, nearly assaultive, so that when you get to "Nature's Revenge" it will feel like an actually pretty dark and spooky song is a respite of comfort within the overall musical context

This person’s hours long videos discussing video game history have become one of my favorite things on YouTube, and their new video is equal parts mega-niche and delightful.

A good read as always, but this week also has a somber summary about what the feds are up to in Chicago from the point of view of someone who’s lived there for the past 23 years.

New Sauceome comic this week, because it's winter squash season!

(also, a little rumination about what's up in Chicago these days)

Roasting Winter Squash
It’s winter squash season! I drew this using butternut squash, but this method works for pretty much any winter squash: acorn, autumn frost, delicata,...

Yesterday in Omaha I saw Swans perform. It was great. It was loud. Thank you, Swans.

I love this website because sometimes you're replying to someone and they're like "as someone who lives in a bowling alley..."
I'm pretty sure you can buy all the old equipment sitting in storage here at the bowling alley i live in. Not even kidding.
