Nowt more joyful than picking up a pen, hand writing what happened. Was a New Year resolution last year, write more, make more time to focus and reflect and spend time with books and music. Here we are, my journal for next year has already arrived. As a strategy, I can’t recommend enough

I think the young uns call it “brunch”? Late breakfast riffing on Tim Hortons. There’s lots of coffee. It’s, as we say on Teesside, “fuckin’ mint”. Or ‘kin min’ tha’ like. ❤️

A couple of hashbrowns, anointed with a blended splodge of blended Heinz Pickle Ketchup, Sriracha, black pepper and Kewpie Mayo, sit on a vintage blue and white East German restaurant franchise plate, with a a riff on a Tim Horton’s Vegetarian stack - a toasted English muffin, with a Moving Mountains Sausage Burger, a steamed egg, a couple of slices of jarlsberg cheese.

Perfect inspiration as always. Spent a fabulous Halloween with Duran Duran in Manchester yesterday and then today’s recipe suggestion popped up this morning; and that’s what we had for tea tonight. LOVE this recipe. Instant comfort. 😀

In fact, I would go as far as to say it was the finest set I’ve ever seen them perform and I say this as someone who’s seen Duran Duran MANY times over the last 40 years. Love it when a band are able to park some of “the hits” that fans expect by default, and have a rummage around and some fun.

I just find it despicable that it’s taken the self preserving Saxe-Coburg-Gothe brigade so long to do anything about it. Years, decades of this. Rich white men with power using, abusing and discarding women. They’re only doing this now to safe themselves.

Well, weren’t #DuranDuran in absolutely stunning form at Co-Op live this evening? Third time we’ve seen them in the last twelve months and by far the best set yet. Superb. Great to see Victoria De Angelis joining them on stage as well. Always nice to leave some of the bigger hits to one side.
