British gambling companies spent an “astronomic” £2bn on advertising and marketing last year, according to a new estimate that has intensified calls for the chancellor to increase taxes on the sector.

The current,seemingly widespread,lack of understanding of the distinction between cynicism and scepticism is a toxic contribution to the failure of a left and wider progressives collaboration to counter the far right.We cannot mirror the evil we abhor,we need a common good, positive alternative!

The Christian tradition’s sacred scripture/theology identify self obsession manifesting in 3 ways -a thirst for possessions-a lust for power-and a drive for prestige-By letting those who have succumbed to narcissism control our legislatures/economies we sow the seeds of pain and suffering for all!

I watched Celtic beat Barcelona with my son and watched Scotland qualify for the World Cup by beating Denmark with him last night! So many of my memories of my own father are Celtic and football. Family, Faith, and Football are central and entwined in so many lives!🍀🏴
