Had lunch at the Marcus Samuelsson restaurant in the Performing Arts Center at the WTC. Within walking distance but I hadn’t been. My friend just got a cool new job and treated me. Amazing food, so nice to catch up with an old friend. #NYC

Q: We've seen images out of Chicago of federal agents shooting faith leaders with pepper balls and arresting journalists. Where's the limit for you on what's acceptable conduct by federal agents?

MIKE JOHNSON: I've not seen them cross the line yet.

They're the ones making our neighborhoods unsafe. They're the danger to our children. They're the threat to law and order.

Agent lobs a gas canister into a residential neighborhood in Illinois for no discernible reason, gassing dozens of neighbors including a baby. The comfort with which they deploy weapons of war is unreal.

It may be hard to believe, but for the better part of 40 years, Republican presidents frequently signed legislation promoting special education. Nixon signed the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. George H.W. Bush signed the Individuals with Disabilities Educastion Act

The GOP once supported special education programs. Recent dismissals at the Education Department put an end to that support.

At a time when billionaires would be all too happy to replace artists with AI slop, I think it's important to celebrate artists like Drew Struzan.

If you've seen a movie poster in the past 30+ years, you've seen something he did. A true master of the craft.

The Trump-Vance Administration getting rid of biodefense personnel is, to state the blindingly obvious, a very bad choice.

Q: Politico reported on a group chat of young Republicans. Does this just reflect some bad apples?

HOCHUL: Some bad apples? These are the future of the GOP. This is so vile it's hard to find the words to put into context ... there's gotta be consequences ... this bullshit has to stop.

Things will continue to be chaotic for the foreseeable future, but I have a feeling that when we're finally past this nightmare and can accurately assess it all, we'll see that the right's insane reaction to Charlie Kirk's death was the beginning of the end for them. bsky.app/profile/chri...

The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans.
The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk. Here are just a few examples of aliens who are no longer welcome in the U.S.:

Unsurprisingly, they did not care enough to help the family as they tried to save him. Even more unsurprising, they did not find any evidence of the migrants they were there to terrorize in the first place.
Do not open your door for these fucking losers. Rest easy Chop
