If you're a white dude with some flexibility in your life, get a group of your like-minded bros together & go to these events to act as counterbalance to these "private security forces." Get in their way. Occupy space. Ask for their IDs. Outnumber them. Make their fascism difficult.

I hear elders complain about generational differences like “these kids and their phones” a lot, but I never hear those same people mention how there aren’t as many public libraries anymore or that free sources of knowledge have to fight tooth & nail to exist.
Just got totally crushed by the info that the weird not-a-public library here can’t do Interlibrary loans and the two libraries that are the next closest charge 50-80$ for memberships if you don’t live in their town. Defeated. I can’t believe I moved to a place with no library.
