A mom in Houston reported her 15-year-old son with autism missing. She spent 6 days terrified, searching for him. The whole time, Houston police knew exactly where he was since they helped ICE place him in a refugee facility.

This is beyond cruel.

We are a small family in Gaza, living in unbearable conditions. The war, which is said to be nearing its end, has destroyed our home, leaving us without a dignified life in Gaza. My wife suffers from severe depression and urgently needs "Leponex" medication, which is unavailable here. The hospitals are destroyed, and medicines are scarce. Staying in Gaza worsens her mental health day by day. Our daughters, Iman and Bayan, are deprived of education, and their dreams of a brighter future are fading .We hold Egyptian citizenship and are desperately waiting for the Rafah crossing to open as a humanitarian case to relocate to Egypt, where my wife can receive the mental health treatment and medication she needs, and we can start a new life.
We urgently need $700 to cover travel and coordination costs once the crossing opens. Every dollar you donate brings us closer to saving my wife from her suffering and securing a future for Iman and Bayan. Be our hope.

One of the things I hear with some younger trans people I know is they feel, "I'm gonna get this surgery, and I'm gonna learn that way of speaking, and I'm gonna be done." You're never done. If you're a straight, cisgender person, you're never done. Things are always happening that have the potential to change you. So all I am today is not who I'm gonna be tomorrow, because of the things that happened to me today and later tonight. People forget that. "Oh, after I transition, I'm gonna be through." Well, good luck with that. 'Cause if you're through, then it's time to leave, you know, and I don't wanna go anywhere yet.
I'm in my seventies. Why didn't I stop? Number one is community. My gurls. I've had moments of thinking about stopping, but I didn't. I made sure I would step back, reju- venate myself, and then got back out there, and that's how you make a way. Our stories are not all the same, but the destination is: to get some place where we have some peace and harmony, and we can be at ease with ourselves and the people around us. You make the best of it all and hope you can help make it a little better for the gurl after you.

i love how much energy there is to all the girls too, it’s not something you often see in historical settings where things tend to be more restrained

also the clothing & the carvings & the details of the setting & hairstyles were so lovingly rendered, i kept going back to look closer at every panel! i love the ways the ghosts & hauntings were portrayed too, it captured the weirdness of old manuscripts while managing to be very unsettling still!

i love Genevieve especially, all that confidence born of otherworldly circumstances stripping away her fears & the need to restrain/limit herself or be seen in a certain way. i like her expressions too, her slightly cold air makes it all the more obvious the warmth she shows Ursa, which is v sweet

i love Ursula & Genevieve, such vivid characterisation in the short time we get w/ them & i adore their relationship! two women who are different from their fellows & isolated for it in different ways but who take a great deal of joy in each other’s strangeness - their interactions are so endearing!
