Yeah like aside from getting it more Anglicized cuz of discrimination, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot were also done cuz the person handling the immigration couldn't always parse spelling due to language barriers, or wasn't as literate? And like just wrote down the closest guess?

I can't emphasize enough that generative AI is way more useful to reactionary voices than anyone else. They can make The Triumph of the Will like 100 times per day with virtually zero cost, just endless fake content convincing people that vague things they've heard anecdotes about are true.
