I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

Donuts with a Toddler:
"I want blue! My favorite!"
'Okay. This one has a filling of some kind so you might not like it'
"No, it my favorite"
....later
"Yummy!"
...
Gets to the jelly filling
"Bleh"
"Do you not like the filling?"
*shakes head*
"That's okay, you can spit it out"

I had a conversation with someone the other day and they mentioned that they didn't do commercial artwork, only fine art.

But in my opinion if a Museum can print versions of a Monet, or a Van Gogh on everything from fridge magnets to umbrellas or eyeglasses cleaning cloths, why can't I?

The person who is responsible for finally bringing the Alaska Grown carrots and potatoes to the Juneau Fredmeyers has my thanks. As someone who grew up in Palmer and had many friend's that worked the Vanderwheele farms in the summers, I have missed how flavorful their vegetables are.

I should probably write an op-ed but this article really sums up the experience for small business owners in Alaska facing down increasing in health care costs.
The expiration of health care subsidies at the end of the year could lead to some Alaskans paying three times as much for their insurance. Several small-business owners are worried about the ripple effects. www.adn.com/alaska-news/...

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:
