RX-78-2 GUNDAM: NOW AND THEN

I really love the classic look of the Gundam, so I wanted to understand all its differences compared to the modern interpretation of the RX-78-2. And there's no better way to learn something well than to teach others!

NOSE - While the original design of the head is variable in its design (especially around the faceplate, which could either have a flat top or a jagged top), a good amount of the illustrations show that the red section under the eyes was intended to be in the shape of a nose and upper cheeks. This is similar to other giant robots of the era, like Mazinger Z or Zambot 3. VENTS - Some depictions of the RX-78-2 have extruded yellow frames around the chest vents instead of vents directly inset in the chest. While this is a design trait that the later RX-178 Gundam Mk-II has featured since its first appearance, the RX-78-2 wouldn't be depicted with them until its first Master Grade model kit in 1995. Now, this look is part of the variable design "canon", and appears on some iterations of the RX-78-2 like the Ver. Ka or the Gundam: The Origin design. YELLOW V-FIN/ANTENNA - The RX-78-2 is occasionally depicted with the crest on its head in yellow instead of white, especially in early merchandise of the show. This may have been because early giant robot toys used softer, rubbery material for pointy design elements, and that material only came in a yellow color. On the RX-78-2, this yellow coloration is also used in the Gundam: The Origin manga, alongside a green camera at the top of the head and eyes that often glow pink. (alt text continued in next post)

Had a dream last night where I met a new person around my age who lived nearby and invited me over to hangout. I ended up meeting a bunch of other people, had a good time, and was already thinking of inviting them to a TTRPG session when my alarm went off.

Which is just how my brain works now 😅

Most inventive spam email I've gotten in a while. They usually just claim to have footage of me looking at weird porn.
A spam email with the following text: Good day I have a website in the darkweb, I perform all kinds of services - basically it is destruction to property and injury. Basically, all but the shooting. Often main reasons are rejected love or competition at workplace. This week she contacted me and set me the mission of splashing acid in your face. Default practice - quickly, painfully, for life. Without too much fuss. I get receive only after finishing the order. Thus, now I propose you to compensate me to be inactive, I propose this to nearly all the victims. If I do not receive money from you, then my person will fulfill the mission. If you give me money, besides to my inactivity, I will provide you the info that I have about the client. After finishing the mission, I always lose the performer, so I have a selection, to get $2000 from you for info about the customer and my inaction, or to receive $ 4000 from the customer, but with a big probability of spending the performer. I'm getting paid in LTC , here's my address - The amount I indicated above. If you do not understand how, look online how to buy LTC. Random fact about me, my name came from Calvin and Hobbes.

My dad wanted me to have the same name as him, but my mum didn't and there was a newspaper nearby. She got the name from seeing it. I was /this/ close to being named Hobbes 😅
