No, Chuck, you’re making them the fifth highest paid military in the world. You ain’t reforming shit.
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

Mexico has a big measles outbreak. Unlike RFK Jr, they have a serious health ministry led by a real scientist. So they're engaging in a massive vaccination effort, and they're honestly reporting and tracing cases to figure out what happened. I wrote about it here:

JD Vance is a child. A baby. He has to travel in an armored caravan and be surrounded by security because he's a coward. Here's what a real leader, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, does on her weekends. Yesterday, in Michoacan.

She's lost the plot completely.
“I would rather you vote for what is morally correct,” Davidson said.

“Don’t talk to me about my own morality,” DeLauro shot back.

“Don’t tell your constituents what they can and can’t talk to you about,” replied Rev. Nathan Empsall. “What you are voting for is not moral.”

This is a remarkable @nytimes.com split screen:

A huge 3,526 word + photos profile on Sen Britt who "can't stop thinking about the boy ICE detained"

But Rep Jaoquin Castro- who actually got Liam Ramos out of detention & back home- gets no interview, no pix, just 116 words inside a story. WOW.

The GOP senator who can't stop thinking about the kids ICE abducted, at least until the next vote when she'll back ICE yet again.

This is pitchbot level shit, here. Jesus.
“.. I’m sad for our country,” she said. “I don’t think that the escalation that we’ve seen, particularly in Minnesota, I don’t think it is. … ”

She paused for another eight seconds ..

“.. productive.”

Breaking character: The changes at WaPo and CBS are not ones that make economic sense. They're about hating liberals, they're about some media higher-ups hating their mostly liberal audience. It's that simple.

People are dragging Walz for this response but what in the hell is he supposed to say? His goal is to placate one of the dumber human beings on this earth, Homan, and not get in the way of ICE getting the fuck out of MN.
Q: The demand was to get ICE and CBP out. To replace Bovino with Tom Homan...do you think that's a satisfactory change?

TIM WALZ: "I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. ...My hope is that Tom Homan is different...that he is a true law enforcement professional."

The Verge has been doing great reporting on ICE and the murders in MSP. Amazing that a tech site can write simple, factual declarative sentences about ICE atrocities, when the NYT and other outlets we're supposed to venerate push out both-sides mush.
Well, Kristen Radtke of The Verge just made me cry with this remembrance of her childhood best friend Alex Pretti.

"Alex was an easy playmate: generous, curious, sweet. His mother always ensured he had a tidy haircut and a clean room."

The explanation is simple: TikTok has data centers that are segregated by content. Data center 1 hosts content marked "liberal" and the others host everything else.

JFC how stupid do they think we are ("very" is the answer).
