As Picard and Dr. Crusher leave the cargo bay in “Symbiosis, you can see Denise Crosby waving goodbye. Filmed after “Skin of Evil”, but airing before, this was Crosby’s last filmed scene. I love that this was snuck in.

I'd love a browser/general software extension that adds a "No, fuck off!" button to any pop-up suggesting "AI" "help" with something --- and the option to send exactly those words to the company producing the software.

There is a direct correlation between how fake your job is and how much value you see in AI
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Really good fun with Predator: Badlands. Now synthetics are stealing the Predator franchise along with the Alien one!

It weirdly reminded me a bit of Labyrinth but if you replaced Sarah with Worf from Star Trek (or 'Jennifer Klingonnelly', if you'd rather)

Okay, I know, it’s waaaaaaaay too early, but bear with me, because this is one Christmas line-up you don’t want to miss. Leave it to everyone else to debate the correct ratio of sherry to trifle, and try to remember what they bought Aunt Marge last year; we’re too busy tripping over bodies in the snow, worrying at the dark shapes at the window, and investigating the odd sounds coming from the attic… Yes, it’s publication day and I am thrilled to announce that Death Comes at Christmas — the festive crime and mystery anthology I contributed to — is out today in…
