jawdropping
Former UVA president Jim Ryan, who resigned over the summer due to pressure from the Trump Administration, just shared this 12-page letter with the Faculty Senate, detailing his experience with the Board of Visitors and DOJ.

It's a surreal--and troubling--read.

I've seen this go by a few times on TikTok now and I have to say, I love this idea. We need a way to convince people to keep running even if they don't win, maybe building the loss into it as a troll move is the secret.

Netanyahu has been raising the specter of an Iranian nuclear weapon since at least 1995 and now is using that as an excuse to start a war.

Almost all Iranians want freedom from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Despite what you might hear, tho, my people’s liberation will not come from foreign bombs.

Yes, thank you. Where is the news media in this?
Is the floor so low we’re only half-expecting an apology from a Senator who mocked the assasination of politicians he didn’t like? Or is there just no floor at all anymore? Mike Lee should resign. Today.

It would be so great if Democratic Party elected officials would start acting as if they’re living under a government that will lawlessly kill or arrest them for the crime of political opposition.

I understand the range of comments - freedom is flying whatever flag you choose, we are a nation of immigrants which means we celebrate and embrace heritage etc. But what we are in the midst of a propaganda war- and if we want the ICE raids and lawlessness to end its going to take a majority

Color me shocked.
In just three months in office, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has produced a run of chaos that is unmatched in the Pentagon's recent history. His inner circle — military veterans who, like him, had little experience running large, complex organizations — is in shambles.

Immeasurable damage being done by this administration
Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago:

—Pioneering cancer researcher;
—*Arrested* at airport in Boston;
—Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana;
—"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research.

Read it.
