I wish I was surprised. Buried in this Budget is a plan to slash the Digital Services Tax, giving a multi-billion tax cut to US tech giants and the likes of Elon Musk.

That's right, cutting taxes for the world's richest man while hiking them for millions of hard-working Brits.

In 2025 in the UK, 4.5 million children are living in poverty, which is 31% of all children, a record high.

It’s staggering that someone else in our society can go to bed, do absolutely nothing but sleep and be £35,000 richer in the morning - every single day.
Wealth tax should not be a tool to extraxt money from those only moderately wealthy.

It could start at 1% for those with over £10 million, and rise in 1% increments every £milion until all the wealth over £bilion is taxed in its entirety. >

Wild camping: we won the battle on Dartmoor, now what?

Listening to @lewis-winks.bsky.social, @maryannochota.bsky.social & Aila Taylor discussing extending the right to wild camp in England - at Kendal Mountain Festival, in (appropriately enough) a very big tent

Speaking in a personal capacity, he said: "We hope the Chancellor uses this Budget to raise taxes on the wealthiest people first - who can most afford it - instead of ordinary people who can’t."

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

There are around 1,500 rivers in Britain, so the government’s manifesto pledge to create a mere 9 river walks is simply pathetic.

Give the public a right of responsible access to all rivers & the wider countryside.

Common sense and morally right.
For the vast majority of people (except Ukrainians and Hongkongers) there is NO WAY to claim asylum in the UK without coming by small boat

The only way to stop people making dangerous boat crossings to the UK is by creating safe and managed routes

Govt's plan is delusional

3 things Starmer could do instead of camps in old barracks that would actually WORK👇

1. Create safe, regulated routes to apply for asylum in the UK

2. Let asylum seekers WORK & support themselves

3. Fast track status for people from obviously unsafe countries

But until we begin to challenge the power & wealth of the 1% - then we know this Labour government has been bought and paid for.

I'm still so annoyed about this. The framing of it is also cruel and disengenious.

Putting these 3 issues together suggests migrants all suffer from a lack of English, more likely to have criminal records & don't contribute to society. It's so so wrong.
