I have a main account, @lattesdotter.bsky.social, but I wanted a separate account to talk about chronic illness and chronic fatigue. I have been suffering Chronic Fatigue for over 10 years and have gotten a lot of support from online communities.

Need to cover last of rent, and restock of shipping supplies.

Love that the disabled kid also said "you know, instead of banning by age they could try banning by behavior, which they never seem to do"

Very telling that the Guardian Weekly article showing teenagers' reactions to Australia's social media ban have a bunch of healthy kids saying "Annoying but no biggie, I can wait two years" and one very disabled one saying "welp there goes my entire world."

We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I did a lot today. But it felt good to be outside, even on a really cold day. #MECFS.

Today was a good day. I made it to the copy center to make copies of the info handouts about #ME/CFS. I also made it to a social event and then walked for a short ways along a street I really like - it had lots of great little stores and I did some window shopping. Stopped in a wonderful coffeeshop.

I need to organize my past medical tests again - I made copies and have them in a folder, but someone here online mentioned having a three ring binder with their records and notes. I think that would be great. I coukd organize medical tests and #CFS info by section, and keep adding to the binder.

I hope that having summary handouts will help educate people who are supposed to be helping me. Also, as I look for a psychiatrist, therapist and primary care doctor in Madison, I want to have something to give them. At the very least, I can make a note that I gave them information. #NEISvoid #CFS.

About a year ago, I had a cleaner every two weeks and someone helping with laundry and driving me places. I would explain CFS to them, and they would say that they understood, but it was pretty clear that they really had no idea how bad CFS could be. It was annoying and hurtful. #CFS #NEISvoid.

I made photocopies of short two page explainers about ME/CFS. These are handouts that I found at Whitney Dafoe's website. I am trying to get back into a regular schedule with someone to clean my apt, and someone to help me with errands and doctor's appointments.

Stratification is a fancy way of saying that participants in a research study are divided into subgroups, or stratified, based on specific characteristics (like sex or age). It helps researchers determine how those characteristics influence the results.

So chicken farms have started spending millions of dollars putting in state of the art air filtration and circulation systems - because culling whole flocks to mitigate avian flu is expensive - but we have done zero to improve air quality in schools - because kids are expendable I guess.

This is why I read comments on animal posts. There are more animal pics. Like this gem I missed a month ago. This cat understands. He's seen things.

If you have ME/CFS (even without a formal diagnosis) & live in California, I would love if you could fill out & share this survey with your friends. I am trying to prepare for a few legislative meetings I have in January w/ some old colleagues.
