As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Looks useful, but they may not cover an important topic: if you need a #map for your book, where do you go? Many authors, faced with that question, have no idea where to start.

If that’s you, I can help! I draw maps for a living, and specialize in maps for academic books.

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

Tonight was the inaugural ride of our new home buyout program. We connect with vendors too scared to be out, and we purchase from them at home. Tonight we bought 250 tamales, divided into 3 teams to deliver all over the city to folks on the street, Love Fridges, and a youth shelter.

This seems huge, and deserves more attention.

SCOTUS has gone out of its way to make it harder to sue Fed law enforcement for damages when they trample—sometimes literally—on your rights.

Illinois just made it so their resident can sue the Feds in state court.

Feds fail us, states step up.
The Illinois legislature had passed the “Illinois Bivens Act,” allowing people to sue ICE agents in state court. Just waiting for Pritzker’s signature.
