Even Fate has this odd black hole between Dresden Files and Fate Core, where a bunch of third party games like Diaspora, Legends Of Anglerre, and Bulldogs came out and influenced the system but then got memory hole'd.

only a tangent, but I've been looking back at some indie stuff from that era like Nicotine Girls and PDQ#, and it does feel like there was only room for Everyone Is John to get attention, but a decade later any of them*could* have hit like Lasers & Feelings and inspired more games.

Many people who were forced to endure ABA therapy come out with PTSD. Ivar Lovaas (the creator of such therapy, which was later derived for conversion therapy) said in his book (paraphrased by me) that autistic people aren't real people, just defective vessels waiting for a real person to be placed

Autism $peaks is the largest and most popular Autism organization (among allistics), who continues to be 100% in support of ABA. They have lobbyists who push ABA as the “gold standard Autism treatment.” It utilizes same practices as “conversion therapy,” which is currently banned in 28 countries.

ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) is the “gold standard” of “treatment” for Autism, and was created by the person as “Conversion therapy” (see Lovaas) with similar techniques and goals. It’s torture that continues to have widespread support and acceptance.
