The country wants a wealth tax on assets.

They're panicking because "won't the rich just leave" has been utterly debunked.

They've got no actual argument.

Never mind the media- Rachel Reeves peddled misinformation from the despatch box. "Luxury" cars are not subsided in any way. If you get maximum PIP you sacrifice the mobility element to pay for a Motability car. Anything out with the standard list is paid for by the pip recipient. It's disgusting
EXCLUSIVE: Disability campaigners have slammed 'appalling' changes made to the Motability scheme by the UK Government while calling out misinformation being spread by certain corners of the media

This will come as absolutely no surprise to the people of Scotland. Labour lies with every breath despite the evidence in front of our eyes 👀
Paul McNamara, "Chancellor breached the manifesto by freezing income tax thresholds and tax rises"

Keir Starmer, "We haven't breached the manifesto"

Labour are now speaking just like the Conservatives did in office. This was not the change people voted for #C4News

The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.

This is a disgraceful betrayal of workers by Labour.

Exploitation and unfair dismissal are never acceptable, so why should workers not have protections against them from day one?

Every worker deserves safety, dignity and security regardless of how long they have been in a job.

It's fucking infuriating the "mistakes" the posh make are just brushed aside and off they trot to a plum gig as an overpaid advisor or whatever. No consequences. By contrast those on minimum wage are responsible for human lives in social care. It's harder work than the elite will ever do too

Agreed . And one for Israeli influence over the Labour party too
Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

Today we’ll get latest net immigration figures - They’ll show immigration for work is plummeting.

Why is this not part of the discussion on Rachel Reeves balancing her books & stalled growth?

For every 100,000 drop in net immigration, the OBR adds £7bn to the deficit. #r4today

I went to uni in 1998. I paid full fees thanks to Labour so was 4 grand in debt before I started. The banks were throwing overdrafts at students too, you could get 2 grand by signing a bit of paper. Easy peasy. It's a con, education is a right and essential to our economy. UK govt is disgusting

This is a real gut punch for motability users. I worked with disabled people and drove their cars, had to get wheel chairs and supplies in plus two support workers and the person themselves. You can't do that in a Fiat Punto. The UK government boils my blood 😡

When there are no immigrants left to blame for the state of the UK, it'll be someone else next, but never the rich. My life has been enriched by working with immigrants in social care where they're needed most. This hostile environment is lunacy, immigration=growth
Immigration is collapsing, and will continue to do so - perhaps even more quickly. We need to reverse engines and encourage it, right away.

So unbelievably out of touch , how they guffaw amongst themselves in their lives of luxury. Shitting themselves from a guy who is espousing real labour policies tells it all.
Watch as Rachel Reeves brands Greens leader Zack Polanski a 'keen hypnotherapist'

The message here is "vote Labour or you'll get nothing". Doesn't give a shit about who we democratically elected. We're supposed to sing and dance having 800million of our own money returned to us via Barnett formula. And we're told to say thank you . The Union truly is an abusive relationship
The Chancellor justifying Scotland getting a block grant with this bullshit.

The No vote in 2014 was supposed to bring all sorts of wondrous things. Instead we got Brexit forced on us, despite voting 62% against, and were the only constituent of the four not to get what we voted for.
November 26, 2025 at 1:27 PM
It's infuriating Scotland has been dragged into a mess it didn't vote for. Think how much better our lives could be without England's fascisty influence.
The UK is losing up to £250m a day in lost tax revenue due to the economic impact of Brexit, House of Commons Library analysis for the Lib Dems suggests.

Brexit has blown a "black hole of [up to] £90 billion a year in the public finances" the party says. Even under lower estimates the hit is ~£65bn
