I'm venting here. I help a technophobe friend select his devices. They'll all be working fine but then misbehave after a few days. Cue a blizzard of whiney texts demanding assistance. In every case he's randomly changed settings. Never admits it. 20 years. It's happening again. I've had enough.

In my old firm that was their whole employment strategy - pay as little as it takes for unskilled & semi-skilled labour, let Universal Credit take up the slack. And they hadn't come up with that alone.
There's an advert on his website for a 'Depot Supervisor' that pays £12.75 an hour for shift work.
If he wants to reduce welfare spending maybe he should pay staff enough that they don't need in-work benefits.

Some singers could do with this at the very start of their careers.
All lead singers need someone close to them who can have an honest conversation with them once it's clear their voice is shot. Could be about changing the key they sing in or the style of the songs, or perhaps about retiring completely.

My attendance record in the European Parliament was the 4th worst out of 751 MEPs, yet I managed to turn up to vote AGAINST plans to tackle Russian misinformation.
Thankfully this is of no interest to the media.
