Dan's post is great, as usual! It's exciting to move to full-page models that allow us to engage with the text and avoid mucking around with image processing. But we don't need to pronounce a eulogy on paleographers yet. The War Department and Jane Austen examples are likely known to the LM. 1/

“This is how you want to proceed with a public servant Mr. Bowman?”

He both made up a quote and used it to imply the exact opposite of the actual holding in that case.
Question about the dissent by (the far-right) Justice Ziegler: Does this quote actually appear in Moore v. Harper? Did Moore say that state courts' role in congressional redistricting is "exceedingly limited"? I don't think it did! vhdshf2oms2wcnsvk7sdv3so.blob.core.windows.net/thearp-media...

United airlines has been doing so well recently with everything except GETTING PEOPLE OFF THE GODDMANED PLANE AFTER LANDING. Today's United fail is a plane sitting at a gate because somehow they fucked up loading the bags and it's too unbalanced to connect to the jetbridge until they unload it.

It’s always kind of crazy to me that Democrats seem to be so unwilling to pursue serious police reform when FOPs and other police unions form the backbone of the GOP’s electoral apparatus and police are the most loyal group of Republican voters bar none.

Seeing as police abolition is back in the news, I have to be shameless and share my rule of law/old fashioned lib argument for taking the idea seriously (and for recruiting all the anti-administrative-law libertarians to the team). Long law review article from a couple years ago gowder.io/iclu.pdf

Yah, you'd think that having gone to Yale law school he'd be able to understand a simple conditional. *if* the order is illegal, *then* you disobey it. Did he cheat on the LSAT?
JD is a slimy lying piece of shit because that's clearly NOT what these Dem veterans said. They said not to obey "illegal orders". It's very simple.

Also, JD is getting very sloppy with his language too. "them members"? Typo?

If there's one thing the mainstream news media love to overlook, it's the impact of the mainstream news media. The petite Tea Party in all its elite-backed astroturfiness was hailed like a sacred comet; the historically huge No Kings was played down by the NY Times, among other publications.
