I'm working on a paper about if A.I. is a bubble or not. Mainly looking at the dotcom bubble and seeing if there were similar claims back then as they are making now and then making comparisons on how A.I. growth will play out in the world economy if successful. Lots of contradictions are emerging.

In so many ways, the vibrancy of our city can be judged by the health of our bodegas.

Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m so proud to be in the Bronx this morning to accept the endorsement of the United Bodegas of America.
There are people in my family who are Air Traffic Controllers and they are also MAGA. Which means that aren't getting paid right now. I haven't asked them who they think is to blame for this because I know it ain't easy and also I don't want to be disappointed by their answers.
I don't think anyone should buy a robot from Elon Musk because I've seen iRobot and he would definitely pull that kind of shit if lots of people bought them and I don't really want to fight authoritarian robots because I have better shit to do.

itโ€™s kind of funny that the New York Times, which is probably at least 50% Ivy League on the editorial side, is one of the primary drivers of contemporary anti-intellectualism, but not really funny in a good way

Reminiscing over that time I saw the biggest loser in the world driving the worst car possible with the stupidest license plate you could possibly think of.
TBF you can buy the Ford F-150 in Europe but your neighbors won't like you if you park on the street in a town because I have a neighbor that has one and now they are moving away from here because the town hates their Truck so they are going to the countryside.

A common gripe in NYC is that violent criminals get arrested and then they are out in a couple of hours with free Yankees tickets and a MetroCard but that literally never happens and is almost always stated by someone that doesn't live there.

Over the past 20 years, there is not a single major US newspaper that consistently told the truth about:

* The rise of US fascism
* The relationship between police racism and innocent Black folk

US News frames the world from the view of the violent minority, but expects the majority to subscribe.
A stat we don't talk about enough: Newspapers have lost 77% of their jobs over the last 20 year, more than any of the 532 other industries tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
This is because revolt comes from a sense of entitlement. And if you're relying on SNAP you have had that sense eroded from you for some time. So, whilst possible, revolt comes to mind for you perhaps because perhaps you feel entitled to certain things.
I was raised on SNAP benefits so I can answer this.

It leads to despair. Which may or may not lead to revolt but it could also lead to doing criminal things or not wanting to live anymore. So it will be a mixed bag of emotions but revolt might not be the first thought.

Trump is doing this so that crime rises in the poorest communities and then he can point to the rise in crime and then send his masked goons in to make it worse.
Millions of Americans wonโ€™t receive their SNAP benefits next month thanks to Trumpโ€™s shutdown.

Heโ€™s refusing to use USDA contingency funds to keep the program afloat โ€” after gutting it to help pay for tax cuts for billionaires and corporations in his big, ugly bill.

Priorities.
