In 2023 the City Museum received a donation of 8mm home movies from the Stonehouse Family who lived in Juneau from the 1920s–1950s. Their movies include visits to the Mendenhall Glacier, downhill skiing, and the 4th of July parade and soap box derby race.

Just got back from a screening of documentary about book bans called “The Librarians” at @goldtown.bsky.social where our favorite local Pulitzer Prize winner gave an amazing intro on Bookmobiles which features burros, elephants in Thailand!!, & even a camel mobile with solar panels to charge ebooks!

When the Roger Rabbit short ROLLER COASTER RABBIT was produced by Disney & Amblin, Spielberg wanted it packaged with ARACHNOPHOBIA. Michael Eisner wanted to release it with DICK TRACY & ultimately won out. Its a shame Spielberg & Disney only made 3 Roger Rabbit shorts because they were immaculate.

See if you have a Sinclair or nexstar station in your area. 2. Watch the local newscast tonight or some time this week. 3. Note the companies that bought tv adverts. 4. Call them and let them know you will boycott them until they quit supporting that media company. Trust me. I worked in tv for 45 years. Nothing you do will have greater impact.
