Australians want their gas market fixed where it was broken and for exports to be constrained. If designed well, export licensing could deliver ‘uncontracted gas’ to domestic users rather than letting the gas companies export it all. thepoint.com.au/opinions/251...
Gas industry spin is failing: Australians want export limits, not new gasfields
For ten years gas exporters have been telling anyone who will listen that the fix for the east coast gas market they broke is the one that serves their own interest - opening new gas fields.

I understand that Australia once had a national anti-corruption body that might have been able to deal with this.

But they got too preoccupied with being investigated themselves for the Commissioner's questionable behaviour. #Nauru #auspol
Australia is paying $750m to a US prison company and $2.5bn in a secret deal to Nauru, yet the hundred or so asylum seekers in Nauru are starving.
It’s called corruption, and someone in authority should look into it.
‘Day by day I lose weight’: asylum seekers on Nauru get $115 a week, but a bag of grapes costs $20

Can the media reporting on news that the US agrees it is “worth continuing” with AUKUS, stop pretending that it’s some sort of big surprise that Trump agrees it’s worth taking our billions of taxpayer dollars for second rate submarines they don’t even have to provide?🙄

In their startling new book, Steven and Evan Strong challenge the "out-of-Africa" theory. Based on fresh examination of both the DNA and archeological evidence, they conclude that modern humans originated from 'Australia', not Africa.
