While the genocide in Gaza is of a scale incomparable to any other thing Trump has his hands on, Trump’s MO is exactly the same. Take action and credit for fixing something he and his administration participated in by either letting it happen, allowing it to continue or they started the problem.

There is peace in Gaza because there is fuck all left to bomb. There is no need for weapons as there are minimal targets left so the financial benefit to the American Military Machine has dried up. There is no peace in Ukraine because it is still standing and fighting Russia with American arms.

The SMH story doesn’t say the increase allocation of international students Sydney Uni requested. However having not secured an extra allocation that favored regional institutions, it is a magnificent and generous gesture for Sydney Uni to give the spare places to Australian students instead.
