✨ We’re excited to announce that Give Voice AB officially started organizing on May 20th, 2025!

We’re a grassroots group of people who simply enjoy learning from each other, having great conversations, and working together to amplify the voices that need to be heard.
#GiveVoiceAB
A high-resolution infographic sequence for "Give Voice AB" features a consistent teal green background with white text, organized into structured sections that highlight the organization’s mission, values, and community activities. At the top, bold uppercase letters spell "GIVE VOICE AB," followed by the tagline: "We’re people who care—about our communities, our province, and Canada. Against separation, we’re taking action together." Directly below, a prominent rectangular box with a white border contains the section "WHAT WE DO," listing activities like taking action together through rallies, letters, and conversations based on what matters most, amplifying voices that need to be heard—individuals, communities, and causes that deserve support—learning together, asking questions, and helping make sense of what’s happening, providing a space to connect, speak up, and act with care, and encouraging everyone to give their voice. A small red maple leaf symbol appears near the text. Below this, another white-bordered box labeled "WHERE WE ARE" details community roots in Edmonton and St. Albert, mentions meeting places like libraries, coffee shops, parks, and community spaces, emphasizes growing from the ground up while connecting with neighbors, groups, and everyday people, and concludes with the phrase "This movement begins where you are." A small circular "GIVE VOICE" icon with a megaphone is positioned at the top right of this section. Throughout the infographic, clear sans-serif font is used with a mix of bullet points and short paragraphs, maintaining high readability and visual consistency. The bottom of the graphic features a large, bold call-to-action bar stating "GIVE VOICE. BUILD WHAT MATTERS." followed by a repeated smaller version of the same tagline beneath it, reinforcing the organization’s message and commitment to community-driven change.

Perhaps because she governs in the manner of Donald Trump thinking that she has the power of the royal prerogative.
I have news for Ms Smith. There is no prerogative power to change the licence plate.
@albertandp.ca do your job; call this out
demand that she state the source of her alleged power.
How did Danielle Smith conclude her govt had the right to arbitrarily change the province's licence plate to Strong and Free, a UCP political slogan, with zero public impetus or input?
Smith has had a change of heart since she was Wildrose Party leader in 2014 when she slammed the PCs plan to remove “Wild Rose Country" from licence plates.
"I also joked that it was great to have advertising for the political party I represented at that time on the back of every licence plate.”

We all need to do this. Just don’t pay it.
When politicians make guarantees, they must be held accountable. Albertans were promised no out-of-pocket costs for healthcare — no exceptions. A $100 vaccine fee isn’t just a bill, it’s a broken promise. #Alberta #Accountability #HealthCare #AxeTheCaxTax #ABleg #ABpoli
A mock greeting card styled as an official government communication from Alberta. On the left side of the open card is a fake invoice labeled “Government of Alberta” with the provincial crest at the top. The address reads “Alberta Health, 10025 Jasper Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta T5J 1G.” The heading says “INVOICE – ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGE,” with details showing a charge of $100 for a COVID-19 vaccination administrative fee. A large red rubber stamp diagonally across the invoice reads “RETURN TO SENDER” in bold block letters. Below, faint text clarifies “SAMPLE – SATIRE / NOT OFFICIAL.”

On the right-hand side, a printed letter is addressed to “Premier Smith.” The text reads:

Dear Premier Smith,
In April 2023, you made Health Care Guarantee, assuring Albertans that no one would ever have to pay out of pocket to see their doctor or receive the medical treatment they need — no exceptions.

I recently received a $100 administrative bill for a COVID-19 vaccine.

In the spirit of your promise, I am therefore returning this bill to your office for correction.

A Tax-Paying Albertan

The card combines political satire and protest imagery, criticizing Alberta Premier Danielle Smith for an alleged contradiction between a public healthcare promise and a supposed out-of-pocket vaccine fee. The “RETURN TO SENDER” stamp symbolizes the sender’s rejection of the bill and their demand that the government honor its guarantee of no-cost healthcare. The overall tone is formal, ironic, and defiant, intended to highlight perceived inconsistency in provincial healthcare policy while emphasizing that the image is parody, not an authentic government document.
Never underestimate the power of the people. True change often begins with just a few individuals who have the courage to act and inspire others. #ABLeg #ABPoli
From the DM’s…

Looks like multiple complaints have been launched regarding Dani’s “Manufacturing Consent on the Taxpayers Dime Tour”

Sorry…

That’s the “Alberta Next” panel.

The stakes are undeniably high this municipal election. Among my friends, the mission is simple and united: we will vet every single name on the ballot—City Council and School Trustee alike—to ensure none of us accidentally casts a vote for a TBA-aligned candidate. #ABpoli

Autumn colours along a creek in Alberta, Canada's Bow Valley. It's Canada's Thanksgiving tomorrow but we are celebrating today. I remain thankful for love, joy, compassion, and the strength to keep moving and seeing scenes like this.

The #AlbertaNext panel was such a mess. If you want to possibly trigger some investigations here are 3 letters that you could send. These FB links have templates you could use. I sent all 3. Sending today may be our last chance to have a say. Oct 10th might be last active day of panel.

Careful! There appears to be TBA rats at the voting stations.
We attended a small but mighty protest this morning at MLA Dale Naly’s office in Morinville. Currently, Naly is away in Las Vegas on “business.” #DaleNaly #UCP #ABpoli #ABED

There will be more demand on our health care system because the AB Government has put up roadblocks to getting a Covid Vaccine. More demand on the system from more sick people that ripples and affects all areas of acute care. #AxeTheVaxTax #ABleg #ABpoli The admin fee is a burden on families.

The Alberta Next panel was like a Springfield town hall run by #SpankyMcAllister —only instead of jokes, we got open hostility toward immigrants. The panelists weren’t just silent; they were complicit, grinning like they’d just been promised a cushy job at the Nuclear Plant. #AlbertaNext #Abpoli

The message was clear - Albertans stand with teachers. And so did we.

Over 20,000 people gathered at the Legislature to fight for public education & tell Danielle Smith & the UCP they need to fix what they’ve broken in our schools. #abpoli
