When the Dells contribute $6.25B to the Trump baby bonus program, the payout occurs when the child is 18. In the meantime, the children in poverty who need it most won't have the opportunities to know what to do with the money - a good education and a healthy upbringing.

As a senior citizen covered by Medicare, I can tell you that it is riddled with problems like unnecessary tests, fraudulent doctors and middlemen and a lack of oversight. I have yet to see a detailed plan for Medicare for All that addresses these because not doing so will bankrupt this country.

We need universal basic income. It will function as a cushion for people so that losing a job or not being able to find one doesn't mean zero income, and having basic income will also better enable finding or even creating a new job.
