To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.

Very good thread on how difficult it will actually be to Epstein redact files. The people who drafted the bill appeared to know exactly what this admin might try to do and wrote this bill accordingly.
Very important for people to read this portion of the Epstein Files Transparency Act so you understand 1) why Mike Johnson was so upset today, and 2) what is NOT permitted to be redacted by the DOJ.

Heartbreaking. And the fact that he’s 15 has added resonance right now as ppl post pictures of their 15 yo selves in response to Megyn Kelly clip about Epstein. A child - a child who is a citizen - fleeing because he has no confidence he’d be treated as such if those masked men caught up with him.

It’s crazy when you see the numbers like this. Trump’s 2017 tax cuts were the most expensive in history - increased the deficit w/most benefit to wealthy. But they had nothing on BBB. Why are we losing every good thing government actually does in this country to give more to millionaires?
It hurts real people and our country 4 POTUS & GOP leaders to refuse to negotiate. It wld be outrageous if it were the Dems refusing. BUT THIS is about locking in cuts to health care so people who don’t worry about bills pay less, while others who do get sick & die! That’s NOT making is great.
