I also had to leave London 2 years ago it also cost money to keep moving. Having to keep paying movers and find money for all the extra fees. It's worked out that shared ownership is cheaper than constantly renting so I'll be doing that hopefully soon...at least I can paint the walls.
My mum has had to downsize four times including leaving London in the last 20 years, again life just happens. Are homeowners just meant to all have some kind of special protection ring around them financially so they never come to any harm from market changes?
