#EV drivers say charging at home is like having a gas pump in your driveway... except having a petrol pump at home would be like living in a toxic waste site. I love that @zaptec.bsky.social fully visualized what that would be like 🤣:

Decided to simplify the volcano.

Pulled the orange fan from the box. Box added weight. This thing will be on casters.

The worst thing about cults is the inability to receive objective information contrary to the cult think.

I've been driving EVs for a quarter century, and I've owned them or ten. I've driven every Tesla, I've never owned one or SuperCharged.

Cults are weird.
Unconscientious consumers are weird.

The goal is a reliable network so drivers can choose an EV confident they can conveniently charge it, even if they can’t at home.

Today I made the mistake of letting a drop of Gorilla glue dry on my skin. That stuff is nasty. Right up there with liquid CA glue.

These glues just want to make your life miserable.

Honestly, the big advances this decade are going to be:

- 300 wh/kg LFP
- Expended Manganese battery development
- Large scale Sodium-Ion deployment

Solid State is end of decade, this is where the big 'game-changing' stuff comes from now, like Sodium-Ion performance in extreme cold.

Widened my DIY planer cart. It was too top heavy.

Did I really need to do this? No.

Did I have more important projects? Yes.

Can you procrastinate while actually doing stuff? Most certainly.

I Remember Grandpa (Ojiichan)
My first recollection of my paternal grandfather was when I was six or seven years old. It was on my Uncle Tom’s farm that I saw and remembered him as a wizened, wrinkled old man. He seemed to tower over me. As a youngster, I only recalled this gentle old man having joy in entertaining …
