How about concentrating on delivering letters within a promised time-frame so people don’t, for example, get dropped off at the wrong location for medical appointments and then have to fork out for a taxi to get to the correct place.

This comes from management (I won’t say leadership) who refuse to recognise that these roles are essential parts of the Team, and are unable to recognise Quality b/c it’s hard to put a number on.

There is no social contract. You only have to look at FB memes to see that being anti-social is claimed as a right (because I want to so everyone else has to suck it up).

But idk if relaxing general availability of cheaper alcohol from retail places will be positive from an overall economic sense. It is likely to cost more long-term health wise, given that availability seems to be one of the greatest correlates of alcohol problems on a population scale.

Last time there was a relaxation of the rules (c. 20 years ago), it made little material difference to most of us as few places took up the option that didn’t do it already.

20yrs down the line it’s commoner for pubs to close early than it was.
