We adopted her and one of her daughters and now she runs the joint, beating up my male cat and Goose on the regular. She comes and snuggles beside my head at night and washes my hair a lil. She's a good cat and a vicious mouser.

After about a week she came and sniffed me. After two she let me pet her. (The kittens had already fallen asleep on me, eaten my hair and fingertips, hung off my socks etc). after a month she would come up and cuddle into my side to nap and bring the kits along.

We fostered and later adopted a 1 year old feral momma with 6 kittens. She was hella skittish and would hide under the bed whenever we came into her room to feed and clean. I started lying on the bed and let the kittens just ramble over me to get them all accustomed to people.

And the most depressing thing about all this? This ICE initiative is many times more costly and has far lower actual results than in either the Obama or Biden years. It's also far fucking lazier, going after people participating in the system in good faith just because they're easy to find.

It eliminates 'majority' rule by a group that usually gets 30 to 40% of the vote, and encourages smaller, more issues focused parties who draw from the overall nation, and not mired in eternal 'guaranteed states' and districts. It is a system tailor made for our advanced communication technology.

Proportional democracy, where a party is awarded seats based on the percentage of the overall vote, is far more pertinant to modern society than the old regional district system. It also renders majorities in all chambers, like what America is being afflicted with, extremely difficult.

I'd recommend forming a leftist political party like we have here in Canada, but with 'first past the post' election structure it always has been an uphill battle. This is why there are only 2 real parties in both America and Canada.
