Appreciation post coming up🙏 Have just been called for a routine NHS test. We are so, so lucky to have our #NHS with its free screening services for all manner of ailments. We need to fight to keep it, because we won't know what's hit us when it's gone @keepournhspublic.bsky.social

At the end of July, when they started their leadership election, The Green Party had 62,500 members.
This is about a 30% increase in membership in just a couple of months. Absolutely incredible!

I've sent an email. Have you?

We need the consultation to include all those affected because the impact of changing peoples' rights deserves to be considered carefully and throughly.
Hello everyone in the UK

Please write a letter about the EHRC consultation BEFORE THE END OF THIS FRIDAY

This isn't filling in the consultation, it is making sure that they are pressured to set it up correctly
Okay, as an *immediate* step, I've done a letter to demand the EHRC engage with ALL relevant stakeholders in their consultation and Q&As.
It's to get this on record, cc MPs, to put pressure on & hold the EHRC to account.
⭐Feedback welcome⭐
Please write in & share.

For the past couple of years @bcpcouncil.bsky.social have let about one third of our local recreation ground go a bit wild. The rest of the park is mown for football, cricket etc, but this bit has reverted to meadow. I think it is SO beautiful, and have emailed the relevant team to tell them so! 😍

The Greens now have nearly 200 more councillors than Reform.

This is not something you'd be likely to guess from all the copiously salivating media coverage of Farage & his crew of billionaire-backed far-right chancers.
Another record year for the Green Party 👏
859 Councillors on 170 Councils in England & Wales

The country is walking and wheeling more

Today's National Travel Survey shows trips walked or wheeled up 7% in 2024, compared to 2019🧑‍🦽🚶‍♀️

While average distance was up 13% to 230 miles a year 💪

This is progress as we work to make active travel a safe everyday choice for all

A very clear response from London Fire Commissioner, Andy Rowe to a question at Fire Plenary last week from Emma Best AM about the impact of LTNs on fire brigade attendance times.

"We genuinely couldn't find any evidence of LTNs doing anything to our overall attendance times".

Exactly. How?
This is the main concern of particularly northern Labour MPs.

It's all very well to commit to building projects in the north as well but if you are building major southern airport capacity, the Lower Thames Crossing and a new silicon valley there are only so many engineers in the country...
I'd love to see a proper analysis of how we're going to find the people to build the third runway at Heathrow, several new reservoirs, 1.5 million houses and various other new infrastructure without mass imigration.

The expansion of #Heathrow isn't only about climate breakdown, it's about fairness too

A small minority of people take the majority of flights yet the pollution & climate breakdown affect everyone, especially the poorest

No to a third runway :(

We have enough noise and air pollution in Brentford. We don't need more.

Yes please to PR!
😮‼️🗳️

We 4 @greenparty.org.uk MPs were delighted to support this #ProportionalRepresentation motion which passed in the Commons today

The vote is sadly not binding but is evidence of the level of support for #PR in this new Parliament

I hope government heeds the call - it's time for fair elections
💥 Really pleased that MPs have PASSED the ‘10 Minute Rule’ motion from Sarah Olney MP in favour of Proportional Representation for parliamentary elections and local elections in England
