London's Tideway super sewer is not just cleaning up the Thames, it's also created new bits of city.

The stunning new Bazalgette Embankment - built on the foreshore by Blackfriars Bridge - is now open with new planting, seating, art & lovely views of the river.

The Great Eastern St/Shoreditch High St/Commercial St is one of the most dangerous in London.

Following support at consultation, I'm delighted TfL is proceeding with transformational safety scheme, including:
🚲bike lanes
🚦new & upgraded crossing
⤴️restricting dangerous turns

The Court of Appeal's judgement stopping Tower Hamlets from ripping out safety infrastructure is good news for Londoners.

It's good for road safety & reducing danger. It's good for air quality, good for health, and good for communities across the capital.

The construction of Cycleway 13 along Clerkenwell Road has started in Camden - the plan is that this continues so that it connects up with C13 at Old Street.

The new cycle lanes along Westfield Avenue in the Olympic park will form part of Cycleway 25 - adding to London's growing cycle network. Signs expected to be in by March.

I do like this little scheme on Bayley St - just off Tottenham Court Rd.

This was a signal controlled junction from a one-way street, contraflow cycling was added & then the junction filtered with a cycle track.

Now it's a bike lane & a new public space with SuDS. 🚲☔️☘️💚

Lovely to see more tarmac and concrete being converted into new green spaces.

Rain gardens not only look great, but also help mitigate the impact of intense rainfall & local flooding associated with climate change.

Last year we delivered over 50,000msq of SuDs across London.

🚌 Introduced 25km of new bus lanes
⏱️Built on the success of the 24/7 bus lane programme & extended operating hours of 3km more bus lanes

And there's much more to come...
