It'd be a little easier to make money off these apps if I didn't have to spend like an hour every day on the phone with support to prevent them from nuking my metrics over errors that are 100% their fault. It's hard to describe the rage and humiliation that comes from working for a fucking app

Well well well, though the battlefield has changed and the reaper’s cold blade has taken for me, it would seem that the fly has stumbled once again into my web. Struggle all you like, list off the many JRPGs you’ve played, it matters not, you merely bind yourself in my silk all the more.

Remember, poor people are to blame for losing our homes and families for "not living within our means," but once you make 6 figures you are entitled to live in the wealthiest neighborhoods with the finest cars and private schools, and if you don't have much left over it's society's fault
1/ I may write something about this, but I've noticed some folks, notably Noah Smith, but others as well, deriding the $140,000=poverty in today's US guy.
So I thought I'd work out what a family of 4 budget would look like in my well-off Boston suburb (Brookline).
TL:DR--pretty damn tight...

Started watching The Chair Company, and already feel like I'm going to need to re-watch. So many densely-packed scenes, where you miss two jokes while reeling from the first one you see

There's a point with some of these "cancelled" people where continuing to avoid them becomes less about what they did (I watch/listen to all sorts of media created by monstrous people, we all have our own lines) and more about this constant lecturing about how mean and unfair we're all being to them
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar? www.newyorker.com/culture/crit...

The Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the subsequent apologetics of it from people I used to respect, forced me to rethink my stance on certain things and gave me more respect for those who could condemn an imperial invasion plainly. A lot of that respect has been stripped away in recent weeks

Zohran Mamdani told NBC’s Kristen Welker he wants Hakeem Jeffries to stay Dem leader & become Speaker if Dems win House. On Fri., Jeffries was 1 of 86 Democrats who backed a GOP-led res. “condemning socialism.” Mamdani also opposed fellow dem socialist Chi Ossé’s primary challenge against Jeffries.
These past few days have really really sucked. Last holiday season kicked off me fucking up bad enough to lose everything I'd built, again, and now I'm entering this holiday season still not having recovered from the last one

Every couple weeks I check around for free/sliding-scale psychiatrists in my region and hit the wave of hopelessness when I can't find anything. Need to climb out of the pit before I can get a ladder that will get me out of the pit
