Most of today's nuggets were sourced from the Sense shop in West Wickham (I think?)

Rafael Anton Irisarri’s fateful album A Fragile Geography has shifted meanings from grief to resilience in the ten years since it was released. Irisarri’s mix for Bleep taps back into those initial feelings changed by time.

Will check it out. I remember the 12-inches at the time, mostly because Mixmag always went on about the ‘washing machine bleeps’ on every SUAD release.

I presume it’s a licensing thing with Talkin’ Loud keeping “Rent Free” off the streamers. I hadn’t realised she’d brought out a full album on SUAD either.

Crossover of course with my other post about Nicolette and that missing album - but she gets a chapter in Bass, Mids & Tops by @joemuggs.bsky.social

My vinyl of “Reggae Owes Me Money” is well warped but that track still cuts the mustard

Stay creative! Towards the end of my 20's my head was full of thoughts like "have I lost my youthful creative spark?" & "am I too old for this shit?" but my 30's turned into one of the most creatively productive periods of my life. Keep on making stuff.

Reading a list of the finest performances by Mark E Smith, I was reminded of this team up with Coldcut (before Extricate) which again seems to be missing from the world of streaming

OTD a few years ago, armed with a bobble hat and microphone, I was exploring Skara Brae, The Ring of Brodgar, numerous chamber cairns and other exceptionally exciting #Neolithic sites on Orkney

Will watch this later 👇. I watched the documentary on the refurbishment of The Angel underground station on the iPlayer and it was amazing how ancient 1980s britain can seem

Imagine a 1970s Alan Partridge on a mind bending trip through long lost London, so breakneck & fragmentary, full of incredible characters & handbrake turns that it feels like a dream where the cast & context keeps mutating & it still won’t be as wild as the actuality of this
