This is such an embarrassing way to defend an article. “Here’s our new piece. Being mad at it makes it correct! IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT, YOU ARE THE COPS.”

Okay, lady, we get it. You like Bari Weiss. That’s legal in America. Nobody is arresting you.

From what I recall from my RC catechism, Trump could still go to Heaven if he repents, confesses, and does his Penance before he dies. Writing Heaven off is putting up a wall between him and God.

I was trying to put my finger on what bothered me about this portrayal and I think it’s that it just takes the guy’s words at face value, like he was a nice guy and reaction to Charlie Kirk’s death just pushed him over the edge www.nytimes.com/2025/10/12/u...

“I spent three nights and three days in federal custody. During that time, I was never told what I was charged with, was not allowed to shower despite being covered in tear gas and pepper spray, had no phone call to my family, and no access to an attorney.” - George Retes, U.S. citizen and veteran.
I’m a US citizen and a veteran. ICE arrested me for no reason.
Jailed for three days without an explanation or ability to notify anyone, George Retes argues the only path to healing starts with the government taking accountability for its actions.

"English As She Is Spoke" was an infamous effort to create an English phrase book for people who spoke Portuguese. The translators had to get there by way of French, using a Portuguese-French/French-Portuguese dictionary, and then an English-French/French-English Dictionary. The end results are

The NYT's "Overlooked No More" obituary series can be a genuine eye-opener. (FYI a label at Bandcamp offers a "name your price" download of an album by Perra.)

So resolve the issues. We’re not being invaded. There’s no emergency requiring tariffs. Crime is not up.
