Lo pensaba el otro día. Es brutal como TVE se está sabiendo adaptar a las nuevas generaciones y los nuevos formatos 👏
Beer night with my beloved Eva. Amazing flavor from Ārpus and the Xul Beer Co. It's a freaking smoothie! 😅

“The Ford Govt in Ontario has passed a controversial omnibus bill banning municipalities from installing speed cameras.

Ford says it will make the province more efficient & reduce red tape.

It won’t do either, and he knows it.

It might get him “speeder votes” though.

This will kill more people.

The most insanely frustrating thing about the #ClimateCrisis is how the breakthrough we so clearly need isn’t technological. It’s just a collective willingness, a determination even, to change in ways that would clearly be SO MUCH BETTER than the clear and obvious consequences of NOT changing.

This isn't just a history lesson. It's a critical warning for every engineering team building complex systems today.

Your culture is either your biggest safety net or your most dangerous blind spot.
I asked my friend, the psychologist Fran Arismendi, to write about this for my upcoming book, Shift.

He broke down exactly how a sick organizational culture made it impossible for operators to speak up, turning a preventable issue into a global disaster.
We've got the Chernobyl story wrong.

It wasn't a technical failure. It was a catastrophic failure of psychological safety.

A culture of fear, secrecy, and blame-shifting led directly to that reactor's meltdown.

For urbanists out there, a really fun video by @evanedinger.bsky.social who spent a day cycling in both London and Paris. I've mostly cycled in Paris and love the changes and admit I find way too many hostile cars in London, but it's still good. Well worth watching!

Haha! Never saw it that way 🤣
I was going to install MacOS Tahoe (the latest one, with liquid glass UI) but I thought I'm going to wait until they realize how bad it is and get rid of it.

Everyone has the right to make mistakes and fix them. I hope they realize quickly 😅

WTF. 🤯

Postman's server's are down and you can't even use desktop app with your local APIs!

This is exactly why I made yaak.app. It works offline, is open source, has no telemetry, no VC funding, and even syncs with Git!

Give it a try and let me know what you think ✨

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

Whereas Vienna once saw an average of five days above 30°C each year, it now sees more than thirty, creating urgency for an ambitious and multifaceted re-greening strategy—embedded in many different policies and processes—which strives to improve climate resilience, public health and social equity.🧵
It’s been a game-changer for my mental health and happiness.

I'm curious to hear from others: Has your definition of success changed over time? What does it look like for you now?

#burnout #tech #mentalhealth #worklifebalance
The fix wasn't a new productivity app. It was a complete overhaul of my life's "operating system."

I had to redefine what success meant to me. Now, things like my health, my time, and my relationships sit at the very top of my personal dashboard, way above the to-do list.
A huge piece of my burnout was chasing external approval. I felt this constant, grinding pressure to prove my worth, and it was fueled by a definition of "success" that was making me miserable. Sound familiar to anyone?
