Ouch, that's a lot! I remembered hearing it was expensive but thought closer to 200€ so I was way off.

These guys keep finding new ways to be creepy and weird. It's sickening that they're allowed to be so abusive to society.

Damn, how long ago did you have covid after the Zona shot?
chrisinparis.bsky.social
Oh! Good to know about the Zona shot. I guess I should plan for a Friday for both when I do it so I can chill over the weekend if I need rest.
chrisinparis.bsky.social
I also need to get the Zona jab but need to plan for it so I can be prepared to do nothing for a few days. Last round of covid felt like a normal flu for 3 days. Pretty tired and high fever and then generally fine. Seems to have been everywhere last month and perhaps even now.
chrisinparis.bsky.social
I had yesterday marked on my calendar for that one and then I got sick a month ago. Now it's just the flu jab.

Facebook helping the Trump team, yet again. Using their products only helps the bad guys.

How's the weather down there? It must be a nice time of the year to visit.

I haven't tried this but love the tartiflette! Unfortunately they're 100% cut from my diet so I won't be trying any of the Brets. ☹️

My Siamese often drags toys into her food bowl! I was never sure what it was about and even wondered if it had to do with her putting her scent in there to annoy the other cat. Maybe it's just a Siamese thing!

I hope they can get here soon enough but at least I can keep cutting the water for a while. The designs in the 80s and 90s were terrible!

It's incredible how much support there is for taxing them (in many countries) but politicians won't do it. In France this is one of the reasons why the government collapsed because Macron refuses to tax them and instead will cut services for millions. It's bullshit.

My Danish neighbors down south did exactly that for their renovations and it saved a lot of money. I'll be speaking with them soon!
chrisinparis.bsky.social
I would appreciate that, thanks. Down south most of the windows were recently updated but there's a glass wall that is decades old and single pane which needs to be addressed but that will be costly...I think.

Also good to know about the mould/damp after exterior insulation. I never heard that before so I'm going to raise it with others here so we don't make that mistake.
chrisinparis.bsky.social
Down south the insulation was up to norm around 2000 but it's pretty bad and lowering the ceiling for modern insulation is super expensive compared to just wearing a heavier wool inside. Nobody wants to give up a single millimeter in Paris or down south.

My building has been discussing insulating the roof which may help it fit into the right category. It's fairly modern (1994) but even then insulation was not a primary issue so it's not great. We could potentially inject something between the exterior/interior walls but that's expensive.

Thank you, very interesting. Wish I knew about this 3 weeks ago but will keep this in mind moving forward.

When you look at apartments for sale on Seloger, it's packed with F and G buildings. Overall I support the necessity to improve insulation but it could have been rolled out better.
