please do not be cute when pitching it’s a 4 run lead.
Based off of Naylor’s reaction, I thought that ball was fouled off not smoked into the second deck
Yup. I hope they don’t panic
Here’s the big question:

Do you spend the assets on a C to replace Chytil when his injury likely makes it even harder to be a contender?

Me watching Petey stack the pads and Garland hound the puck vs. Me watching whatever tf Kane was doing
Three! Blueger was also not there at the end

The points being picked up by the Canucks right now do matter — but only if their overall game picks up too. Need to tighten the nuts on the chassis.

That said, today’s win is legitimately impressive given the crazy scheduling.
Sasson probably goes to 2C tbh.
Yeah, especially down two forwards for a large chunk of the game. And Kane doing the dumbest drop pass imaginable lmao.
Points absolutely matter, but still don’t think the Canucks’ process is good and am very worried about regression once teams get their stuff together
The Canucks are gassed. Third game in 70 hours with travel from Dallas to Chicago to Washington.
Yeah, but we’ve seen hits where if they glance off a body part they rule it no principal head contact now. I think if he made his hits now, he’d be talked about similar to Wilson tbh
this third period looks like a team that’s down two forwards for over 40 minutes and it’s playing their third game in less than 70 hours that has travelled from Dallas to Chicago to Washington
Late hits also factor in force too. A late hit with excessive force was normally a major and in the past they had suspensions attached. Now? Idk.

Legitimately watched some of Raffi Torres’ suspension videos and I don’t know if he gets suspended on those hits if he played now.
I hope he gets going (same with Sourdif)
Interestingly enough, there’s no written definition in the rulebook (of course there isn’t, why have clarity). This league is dumb sometimes lol
Down to 10 forwards for 40 minutes too. Gotta survive
Yeah, again, the league has repeatedly referenced in suspension videos that hits 0.6 seconds or later are late hits and it was well beyond that. The refs just got it wrong, which can we expect anything else at this point lol
The problem is it wasn’t a legal hit. The refs got that part wrong. You’re also going to get a lot of charged Canucks fans on this because:

- We’ve seen hits that weren’t as late as this get suspensions in the past
- it’s got a good chance to end of Chytil’s season who’s our 2C with no replacement
It was legitimately a late hit by their own definition, which is 0.6 seconds or later. The refs just got it wrong. It’s legitimately later than Torres’ late hit that got him 41 game suspension.

You could count one one thousand from the puck leaving Chytil’s stick.
We’re going to end up with another Bertuzzi on Moore level of hit, and there’ll be a bunch of shocked pikachu faces over it when they could’ve prevented it.
Yup. They very clearly want more violence in the league (see: Panthers) than a decade ago. The ambiguity lets them pick and choose when/how to apply it.

It’s just frustrating because a decade ago, this would’ve been 5 + a game + a 10 gamer given his history. Now it’s a wheel spin.
But yeah, the RMNB screenshot shows the concerns of why these hits are bad and should be suspensions, because good luck avoiding a concussion on this hit
I’d quibble over clean because it was as late as Raffi Torres’ 41 game suspension hit, and late hits with excessive force are typically 5. Well, were. I don’t know what they’re doing anymore lol
