(And yet, still not as much as I hate graphs)

Sorry mates, should have made this three years ago before it would have ruined everything. You’re going to have to sit it out now. Sorry.

Maybe in a few years when some games stop working or businesses close, we might have some room again but until then, sorry. No can do.

Just tell, them straight up if they keep on like this, it’s unsustainable. Make sure they know just what they’re doing, ruining things for other people. Let them know it’s them especially at fault and fuck if, ask them how could they when they know things are this bad too. Really go for it.

Maybe the solution here is before the next demo bonanza that Steam run, like a few weeks before if or something, you do a search on here and the other hellsite to see who is making a demo for it and ask them to just not do that please because there’s already enough and that should do it.

What do you expect people to do here? Fuck me.
fishwithlasers.bsky.social
Yes. That’s right. People made more games. And demos.

I know, I know, you’d think they’d have just stopped out of politeness or something but no, they just carry on making things,,, rudely.

Imagine being able to go a week without someone getting a graph out and giving it “wow, there’s a lot of games here”

Fancy a popular post on a videogame community on the internet claiming a game is dead and people agree with it.

Literally unheard of.
fishwithlasers.bsky.social
are they, like, just discovering the internet this week or something? were Nintendo doomed for nothing?

“And it's not just me that thinks this is the end. The most popular post in the Destiny subreddit from the past month is a bleakly-titled "I think this game is finally dying" dispatch that sees the community at large complaining about Bungie's way of managing the title over the past year-plus. ”

“Is this it? Are Eurogamer finally closing?”

You’d feel like fucking shit, so maybe don’t.

Gonna start writing headlines like this about their jobs, treat an IGN takeover as sports and see how that goes because I saw a graph over the weekend once.

what the fuck is going on over on that site and can they just stop it, whatever it is
The last time Destiny 2’s player numbers looked this bad, Bungie was one month away from shutting up shop - so it this, finally, the end?
fishwithlasers.bsky.social
No, I haven’t managed a nap. How did you know?

On what feels like my five hundred billionth page of a thread (it’s probably two or three) trying to find out some completely innocuous news about nothing of great importance and the people my age and a bit older are making me want to do a Logan’s Run on humanity again.

Right. I’m going to bed.

Sweet dreams.
It’s Biffo. Crouching a little bit, sucking on his fingers and drooling. Is that a shadow or a puddle? We don’t know. Reader, we leave it to your imagination.

Idly scrolling down. See this again.

Think “well, at least I didn’t post about dumping a quarter in it” and going back to my film before any other thoughts cross my mind.

o biffo! careful! you’ll follow through
A milkman watches in confusion as Biffo The Bear crouches, whistles and farts in the middle of the street.

I still think about this often. I was on a rackety minibus, alone apart from the driver, heading through the roads beside the fields, on the way back from a hospital visit when I first read it and there’s few pieces about games that hit me like this did then.
