I'm having that thing where something provocative just seems like common sense cause I've been thinking about it for months and years, but man this book rocks.

you can't "gotcha" "assigned sex" because sexing the body is deliberately arbitrary because it is an instrument of control. sex is an instrument of control. sexing the body is a (misogynistic, transphobic) instrument of control. kill the sexologist in your head

For a limited time, the preview text for ALL THE WAY, book two of my trans lesbian cheerleader series WHEN YOU FELL FROM HEAVEN, is available to all $5 and up patrons!

The final book will be available to buy in ebook and paperback later in December :)

“Being woman”

Four states of being which remain inscrutable mysteries to medical science because it doesn’t occur to them that we can use language to describe our inner lives, if someone bothered to ask.
Watched a video from a psychiatrist “ADHD socialist” who claimed that executive dysfunction & emotional disregulation are unique presentations of ADULT ADHD and that we don’t know if stimulants treat the latter.

Madam, I assure you they are not, and they do.

You can just ask us. We’re right here.

then you'll begin to understand. The history of the colonization of the Americas is a history of violence and theft by your people, and all the state violence are the inheritance you left.

Hi all,

I'm going to need some help making sure I can make rent next month. My progress is still going slowly and my ability to work is still not great, so I'm concerned about making ends meet as winter approaches. We appreciate any and all help! Thank you all!

We love to talk about the Senate Democrats sucking but every single one of them voted against Hesgeth’s confirmation because we already knew he was a bloodthirsty alcoholic who assaults women. These war crimes are not bipartisan. Those fishermen would be alive if Harris won.

The subcategorization/tropefication of popular fiction has been very bad in general, both for authors and readers.
The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

@willowtalksbooks.bsky.social show these losers no mercy, they deserve none.
Romance hetleresses are currently trying to cancel a trans woman booktuber, Willow Heath, because she said romantasy hetslop was kind of dumb and tradwifey or something. A selection of comments:

not to like, import discourse from twitter, but this hits the nail on the fucking head what we refer to as "gender" is actually a whole bunch of different things that people keep conflating and any discourse that doesn't detail what aspect we're speaking about is destined to fail

This has been a recurring phenomenon in brazil 's far-right as well and it's quite interesting
I'd be really curious if someone better versed in feminist theory wrote about what's happening on the right. Because between Greene, Mace, and Bobert, we've got this bloc forming of women who seem tired of serving a patriarchy of sex criminals. And their rhetoric is starting to lean that direction.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for 6 years for. I gave him my loyalty for free. I've never owed him anything. Let me tell you what a traitor is -- a traitor is an American that serves foreign countries."

"Guys" is used as a supposedly gender neutral group address, but this "gender neutral" somehow always seems to be male. Guys, lads, boys, bois, bros, dudes, even fellows. We use they/them singular now for gender neutral pronoun but it was once "he." Don't believe me? Here's Le Guin.
